Pyoderma Gangrenosum Precipitated by Breast Engorgement Following Lactation Discontinuation: A Rare Case Report

Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is an inflammatory disease characterized by recurrent painful ulcers, eventually leading to cribriform scars. PG mostly a diagnosis of exclusion with neutrophilic skin infiltration. We present case 35-year-old female patient whose first presentation occurred in the trimester pregnancy, which recurred after discontinuation breastfeeding. The also had history taking prolonged IM and IV analgesics for her chronic migraines. was initially treated steroids necessary wound care, during symptoms remained controlled. However, year later, presented acute flare-up postpartum period, mainly involving breasts bilaterally. Extensive debridement performed due severity necrotic ulcers failure respond conservative management, followed partial thickness grafting.
